I spent the majority of last week in South Main, a neo-traditional neighborhood in Buena Vista, Colorado.  South Main now offers vacation rentals in the neighborhood, which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed.  It was fantastic stay in the neighborhood with hours and hours of outdoor activities within walking distance of our second-story flat.  I brought my bicycle along, but in all reality my two feet would have easily gotten me around from one place to another.  South Main’s vacation rentals can be viewed and reserved at the following website: South Main Vacation Rentals
The following are some of the photos from South Main:

Utilizing a wood-framed attached single-family home, South Main transitions beautifully into live/work buildings from detached single-family homes.

The historic Chaffee County Courthouse is framed in this terminated vista from the kayak park.

The Eddyline Brewery in South Main not only has great beer, but fantastic pizza as well.

The kayak park on the Arkansas River at South Main was the driving force in the development at South Main.

A view from across the Arkansas River of South Main. This promises to be a beautiful example of transitioning from T-1 to T-5 on the urban-to-rural transect.

The natural landscape across the Arkansas River from South Main includes a beautiful trail network.
